Floor detection is the critical first step. We analyze the point cloud to identify floor and ceiling planes, establishing correct building levels for perfect vertical alignment in the BIM model.
After defining floors, we identify individual rooms by grouping point cloud points into enclosed spaces. This creates clear spatial organization and accurate room references for subsequent modeling steps.
Detected rooms are converted into solid 3D volumes using point cloud boundaries. These solids accurately represent enclosed building spaces and serve as reliable reference geometry for generating BIM elements.
The final stage generates intelligent BIM elements: walls, slabs, openings, and exterior shells are created between room solids. This transforms raw scan data into a fully coordinated, usable BIM model.
